Manuteam Hand Therapy

Hand surgery has established itself as a specialist surgical discipline worldwide over the past few decades. Its aim is to restore functionally important motor and sensory structures such as nerves, vessels and tendons in the smallest of spaces with delicate surgical methods after injuries or illnesses to the hand.

In addition to improving hand function, optimizing postoperative healing is of immense importance. The rehabilitation phases must be optimally designed for the affected patients. For the best possible, effective hand rehabilitation, the specific medical and therapeutic expertise of a hand therapist is extremely important. In the first two weeks after an operation, a qualified hand therapeutic treatment is groundbreaking for the later result in terms of mobility, strength and pain reduction.

In the private medical practice of Prof. Sauerbier, there are collaborations with highly qualified hand therapists. Simultaneous care by the hand surgeon and the hand therapist is therefore seamlessly guaranteed.
